Hello everyone, I would like to show you some of my work that I have been doing on my Vostroyan Artillery army.

I'm not the best painter out there ( still perfecting my skills) I've had a look through at other peoples work and there is quite a high standard which scares me!

Any way, I hope you like my work and please C&C, Don't hold back, im not affraid of what you think I could improve on, just let me know.

Some of my many Troops.

Tanks.

Super heavy.

This is Spud.

This is Lady.

Oh and My ogryns

Pretty good looking force you have there. Everything is completely painted and based, and your color theme is appealing. You've definitely got the fundamentals down, now you might want to consider more advanced techniques, such as weathering the tanks, adding mud, battle damage, scorch marks, rust etc.

These kind of details really set your army apart and are worth learning. Don't rely entirely on citadel paints, experiment with other brands such as tamiya, vallejo, testors. Sometimes they add a subtle difference.

Thank you very much sir

You could not be more spot on there, They are the things I struggle most with, rust marks and battle damage really @*FT£$%^ me off, It never looks right, maybe Im being fussy, Ill have a hunt for a guide of some sort on the forum.

There are other paints??? where do I go about looking/ buying these bad boys sir?

Thank you for your feed back, I will start practicing battle damage right away.

I love those models. Only advice I can see to give you are painting straight lines.

Masking tape is generally to thick/unwieldy to use on minis, but cigarette skins work superbly, only like £1 for a king size pack, AND you can smoke with them. Just lick it up, lap it down, paint away and rip the skin back up. Sorted

I have to pipe in as i am in the process of painting vostroyans myself. The models look very good and my only objection would be that the gold parts are a bit .... gold. You don't ussually find gold in a battlefield . I would suggest a wash with a black ink (badab black in my case), and a further highlight with a lghter colour (in my case Tin Bitz gets highlited with Dwarf Bronze).
Oh and the Standard bearer's pistol is totaly lost in there.
Tanks indeed look great!
Keep trying practice does make perfect...

You shouldn't be worried about the one bullet with your name on it, Boldric. You should be worried about the ones labelled "to whom it may concern"-from Blackadder goes Forth!

Your Vostroyans and Tanks are great and I really, really like the paintjobs on your Ogryns. The only criticism I can make are that some of the metallic areas could use a little bit of a wash, maybe Devlan mud or Badab Black and if you can get it Chestnut ink it works THE BEST on gold.

"Whilst we stand, we fight. Whilst we fight, we prevail. Nothing shall stay our wrath"
Guilliman and the Ultramarines are like Manchester United, everyone hates them because they are so awesome!

I like the Ogryns and the Crassus. On your basic infantry, some of the bare metal could use at least a slight wash, otherwise keep up the good work.

Looks like you've come a long way and from the earlier tanks with the weathering and scarring, your Crassus looks awesome I want a couple for my army. and if you check out my orgyns they pretty close on paint scheme. With the exception that I like how you painted there armor compare to mine.
