Hi guys,

Need some help. I'm thinking of using the forge world inquisitor lord hector rex and retinue model for a conversion, however i have no idea how big the model is..I see he is in terminator armour of some description but I want to know if he'd be big enough to represent a space marine?

I'd also like some advice about working with forge world resin, I've not bought from forge world before and before I buy the model, I'd like to know how likely I am to mess it up? I've worked with other resin before and the fine(hah)cast stuff so i assume it's similar?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Corrected name of miniature -Facepalm-

You mean Hector Rex? I would say that he is actually the same size, if not a tiny bit larger, than Inquisitor Lord Draigo or a Space Marine Librarian in Terminator Armour.

He has a side arm pistol at this side that is a bit antiquated looking. It fits for the inquisition but I have never seen a marine model carrying anything like it. Other than that he fits in pretty well among space marines. He would make a fairly appropriate proxy for any HQ model with a storm shield and sword, imo.

EDIT: I will try to give you some low quality camera pictures later when I get home for a good comparison.

Ah grand, that's what I was hoping. I noticed the pistol and was planning on removing it as well as the inquisitorial logos etc...it's quite a bit of work i know..hence why I wanted to be sure before buying!

I picked him up a while back and was both very impressed with the detail sculpted on him and how many spots FW screwed up the casting on. Nothing was unfixable on my end but just be forewarned that he has lots of hidden spots where the resin can thin out and/or not form properly (stuff thined and broke on mine as well as his cloak came moth-eaten in spots). Also, just an FYI, he's technically in artificer armor and not terminator armor. I actually thought the same thing for about a year until I actually read his entry in the Vraks book. He's terminator sized and comes on a termie base but he's not actually in termie armor. He still makes an incredible Draigo standin IMHO though.

About the same size as Draigo. That would be an awesome conversion.
