Hey guys we have a scenario that we put together for a tournament and we would like some feedback on it.

2000 Standard FoC game.
Scenario: Falling Skies

Objectives:
Nominate one Unit in secret and record it below. This can be any single unit in your army. This unit is worth +4 Kill Points to your opponent.
Unique Named Special Characters are worth +2 Kill Points.

you are battling on a planet when the meteors start to strike.
At the beginning of each players shooting phase, that player will roll a D6, on a roll of a 6 2 meteors fall from the sky landing on the battlefield. Starting with the player whose turn it currently is, place the small blast marker over any enemy unit and roll 2D6 to scatter. If a hit is rolled the blast marker will still scatter and the player will choose the direction of the scatter. The blast marker will scatter the full distance every time. The meteor has the following profile: S5 AP- 2D6 Armor Penetration, Always hits top (side) Armor, Half strength round down if the hole of the marker is not over a vehicle. After the meteor falls the other player follows the same procedure for his meteor, then shooting begins as normal. Any moral tests that would normally be taken for wounds caused by meteors are considered to be automatically passed by all units in the game.


Deployment:
Use Pitched Battle from the Rule Book

Game Length:
5 Turns or 2 hours, where both players have had the same number of turns

That's it, playtest if you would and please give me feedback on how the game went.

Seems good to me, but I would suggest that hit still scatters on the hit arrow.

It does, was that not clear in the scenario? I will reword it so its more clear.

It currently reads:
"If a hit is rolled the blast marker will still scatter and the player will choose the direction of the scatter."

should it read:
" If a hit is rolled the blast marker will [not hit and will] still scatter and the player will choose the direction of the scatter."

No, I meant that it will still scatter randomly on the small arrow that is on the Hit side.

my problem with this is that its Str 5 AP- 2d6 pen
that means monsters and men walk around like it was nothing while vehicles get messed up pretty badly

i say on a 5, both sides get to drop 2 "small" meteors, if its a 6 then both sides drop a "large" meteor.

Small Meteors: Str 5 AP 4 small blast.
"A meteor that broke up in a tight formation upon re-entry, kinda looks like a giant shotgun shell...from space of course"

Large Meteor: Str 6+D3 AP3 Small blast, Ordance.
"Its just a big ol' rock from space...good luck trying to survive it"

(edit)also, i like what yamgrenade said, if the meteor lands a hit on the scatter die, then you should use the arrow on the hit die...random, RANDOM, RANNDOOOMM!!!

Any mind actually playtesting and giving some feedback please.

Oh, and there should be Mr. really big rock just for the fun of it

(Edit) i missed that last remark, will try and playtest to see how it goes, just thought i'd raise my opinion on a few things before hand

I can't playtest it now, it would be best if you did it (You know what you want the scenario like so you have the best opinion.)

Looks like it would just complicate the game, make it take longer, not change much.

I have tested it already, the game time takes an extra 30 seconds (The meteors only strike on a roll of a 6)

I was looking for additional input from extra playtesters, after they play a game.
