Hey guys! Fairly new to WHFB and I've been wondering about skirmishers and how they are with redirecting.

For example Flamers from DoC or Skink Skirmishers from Lizardmen. If they are all scattered 1/2" apart all over the place with no real direction...when they get charged, they have to form up rank and file right? If so...then what angle are they at? Can you choose what angle they are at? For example when they form up rank and file to take the charge can you totally 45 degree angle them to the right to throw the enemy charger off course and expose their flanks?

I don't know how to angle or if I get a choice on how to set them up when they get charged...please help.

In the new edition, Skirmishers form "loose ranks". They're 1/2" apart, but they're in a block like other rank and file with a facing and everything. When they "shrink" due to a charge (either declared or received) they shrink around the center model (owners choice if there are an even number in the front rank). So they'll always have a facing already when they're charged.

As above. Skirmishers have a front, side and rear at all times now.
