Hello out there! Well some of you may be familiar with my GK from my previous post. (Sorry it wasn't in the blogs it was in the finished product section. lol) Anywho, it's 2 AM and i've decided to post some more! Let me know what you think!

Ok, So i've finally finished my First 10 man squad (3 months later) lol. I've decided that they shouldn't just walk around like some Foot slogging regular jerk off's. So i'm starting my Storm Raven to get them there in style! YUP and i decided to LIGHT THE WAY! haah yah i know it's corny but it's 2 so i'm allowed silly schinanigans. lol More to be posted tomarrow! :-D

Pretty sweet stuff there, I especially like the force weapons and the cockpit lights for the Storm Raven. If I had to criticise somthing I would say the silver can look a little flat in places but thats me, I prefer a bit more contrast.

Thanks guys! i've been busy with work lately (And cleaning out my fishtank... 55 gallons is more of a pain in the ass than i thought it would be) But i'm currently finished with the stormravena and working on a rubble/snow base for it (I know, how orriginal. haha)

one question. what blue you used for lighting the storm bolter?

I'm actually using 3 blues. I start with a basic outline of Regal blue along all the hard edges. then at the corners i do a small amount of enchanted blue. i then "Highlight my highlights" or just the corners, with Ice blue. I was going to use grey orginally, but i felt the blue highlights were more in line with "The Agis". hell the rest of the models were highlited with blue ink. lol.

These are gorgeous. Did you use a blue wash on the back packs?

@Lifeater: Yeah i sure did, every model (not including the storm raven) had the receses and places i felt appropriate washed with Asurman blue wash or what ever it's called. it's the new GW Blue wash. I do, however, miss the old GW inks. *Sigh*

I'm new to playing GK but i'm loveing this list so far. the Strike Squads hold the back objectives and with the psylencers putting out an additional 12 shots, it makes the enimy think twices about comming after them. they can hold thier own in assault as well. the Purifyers move up and take objectives and slaughter toops like no ones buisness. My buddy plays DE and he managed to get the assault on one Purifyer squad twice with Witches and the purifyers won both assaults completly wiping out both Witch squads. the Razorbacks and Stormravens are my Anti Tank and since they all have LC's they effectively have a 54 inch threat bubble, allowing me to keep my distance and still pop armor. :-)

@ 2000 pts, i add one more purifyer squad with a Razorback and add a second Storm Raven but i it equiped with TL HB, TL AC, and Side Sponson Huricane bolters with Psybolt ammo for Troop suppression.

at 2500 pts i add two Dread Knights with Heavy Psycannons and incinerators.

Oh yeah I run a purifier heavy list myself and the biggest problem is Crowe, Because he is such a burden to have with him not joining units and all, I currenly run a GM instead and terminators as troops and purifiers as elites and it runs amazingly compared to taking crowe, but if your hearts content on then go ahead but yeah consider not taking him to see how he goes.

lol thanks! haha. My current plan is to throw him in a razor back and have him meet everone up in the middle somewhere. if not he can sit back with my objective holders as a Anti-Assault measure. He's pretty decent in assault and it've had pretty good luck with him so far. But in all honesty, eh. lol. I really do love the model tho and that's sadly my main drive when building a list... "Ohhh that looks cool! i'll take 3..." haha

Oh and sorry i havn't posted any updates as of late guys, with the release of Space Marine i've been pretty much glued to my Comp screen. I've read a lot of negative reviews online and they are really starting to... grind my gears. haha. Yes the story is very simple and there isn't a lot of "Exploration" but who cares! and yes, there's 2 modes and 5 maps on Multiplayer... but WHO CARES! lol. play till your tired of it and move on. Some of us just love the idea of running around as a Space Marine and blowing stuff up! there's so much to the game that's amazing and people don't see it. the weight of the Space Marine when he runs, the simple details, like the GIANT atomostphere with everything, the true to fluff stuff thats going on around you while you play. it's just cool and i think it's a fantastic game. so... yeah... that's my GK painting blog on the video game Space Marine. hahahahaha

So my best friend picked me up a FW Dreadnought... YAY! haha i know my lists don't call for one but it's such a wicked cool model that i couldn't resist. :-D what's more, is i've found that removing my Strike squad and the Razorback allows for Two Psyful dreadys. YAY hahaha. well I'll be posting pics real soon... LIKE NOW!

Sorry for the long delay in updates. it's been quite hectic out here with work and school and all that woop de woop and what not. haha. Anywho today i bring you the Finished dready, along with my second squad of Purifyers... and my newest model and one i'm probably more excited about than any others.... THE TECHMARINE! i've always loved these models but never really found a practical reason to take one. Now i have one! By dropping all the Razorbacks in my list, i can take a Psydready along with a Techmarine! why would anyone do this you ask? well i have my reasons and i assure you there good. lol. (Cause the model's awsome duh!) lol and with out further delay...

So this weekend, i've been working on my Techmarine. I was a little worried about painting the Power Sword diffrent from the other Power weapons in my GK army. But i figured it would cool because i'm not equiping my Techmarine with a Nemisis Force Weapon. He's just getting a plain ol power weapon. so, by painting them diffrent colors, it'll be easy to tell them apart. :-D

Today, i finished my Strike squad. :-) I know it's taken a long time to update but work has sadly gotten in the way. :-/ lol

So today progress on my second Storm raven has gotten underway. I have most of the Hull put together and i've learned a thing or two from the first one. Instead of doing a near complete build, i've decided to go in sections so i can better pre-plan my wireing for LED's. originally i wanted two more LED's inside but was unable to as i had already glued the engines together. THIS one will have light up Engines, a red and blue flashing clear stand, white disembark lights, yellow headlights, and red cockpit lights for a whopping 9 LED's! WoOO! the flashing red lights have been canibalized from a remote controlled heli I broke over the weekend. a 30$ set of led's more likely. lol. Should turn out pretty cool. :-) I'd have pics of the Wiring in progress... but my Soddering needle went 419 on me... Sorry, work lingo... it died in the service to the emperor. lol Video at:

Fun little gaming note today as well. Played against my friend's Neckroons. It was a really good well fought game but the highlight, at least for me *Giggles* was watching both of his HQ's and a BUNCH of other units go toe to toe with me and get the foor wiped... So sit back and prepare to be transported to the 41's millenium. :-D

Crow, the 5 remaining members of Strike Squad Alpha, and the trusty Techmarine are all bunkered down in the ruins of the old factory refinery that the Techmarine had re-enforced. They watch in an tisipation as the Neckroon monolith floats ominously around the conrer of the Fortress they've been fighting to gain control of. They know support from the Stormravens is on it's way but it's taking a long time to get there... Suddenly the air around them Ionized and there's a whip crack of lighting and the faint smell of Ozone in the air. they peer out of thier barricades and witness pure horror. Two Neckroon Lords, One of whitch crow recognizes as the Stormlord, with two criptecks, and a host of 10 Immortals have teleported right in front of them! they blister with weaponry in both gun and knife variety. there is a sence of hatred and the urge to meet the enimy in glorious hand to hand combat that bristles through the squat. but Crow's will is strong. he orders the squad to hunker down in the ruins and wait for the oppertune moment. The Neckroons begin to advance on the ruins, pounding them with Aline fire and with support of the Monilith, all hope appears to be lost for just a moment. Suddenly Crow jumps out from the behind the Ruins and shouts "FOR THE EMPEROR!" and raises his hand. suddenly, there's an explosions of FIRE, clensing two immortals with the Purifying fire of faith. they seem to burst from the inside out with the azure fire of justice. with out missing a beath the Techmarine plucks an odd looking canister from his belt and lobbs it into the ammased Neckroons. It explodes in a sphere of bioluminecient light. Sorceries unknown the the Techmarine take effect and many of the Neckroons begin to attack eachother instead of advancing on the Grey Knights. seeing it as a moment of oppertunity, Crow goes head to head with the storm lord, striking the fatal blow that brings the Neckroon overlord to his knees. as the light fades from the former glorious leader of the Necrons, the strike squad breaks from cover. inspired by crow they hack and slash with thier swords, taking many of the Neckroons by supprise as they were too busy fighting with eachother. but the Techmarine was not to be found wanting as well Striking down two Neckroons with his Power Axe, dodging one Neckroon that seemed to be unaffected by the Grenade and striking him down with his Servo harness clamp. Something akin to fear crosses the hard metal face of the second Lord that was accompaning this would be death squad. the Neckroons begin to fall back but are relentlessly slaughted by the remaing Greky Knigts... until there were none left. and the Greyknights stood victorious with out taking a single loss....

Haha sorry Kree but i had to ham it up a bit. it was a pretty epic loss. lol

So todays update is about my LOVE for hot glue guns! I've started working oon that Storm Raven (After realizing that my Soddering iron was dead) lol. The biggest suggestion i can give is GET A HOT GLUE GUN! Oh my god! it's amazing! all the problems you may have with sodder holding your wires, manipulating the wires afterwords, ect. ALL SOLVED. lol it really does do wonders.

So today, i've drilled all the holes, pre, laied any wire, and it's now ready for painting.

So, inspired by my next project, 10 Terminators for GK, well 9 with a Grand Master. :-) i've been ramping up on my Storm Raven. :-D I've finshed the LED's wireing, primed, and given it's two coats of bolt gun and Chainmail. It's now ready for assembly and painting. Next post, Finished product!

Dude your LED work is looking awesome, really like the engine lights. Your going to have to teach me how to do the wiring for it when the dark eldar voidraven comes out.

Oh totally! It's only complicated in look, theory, and practice.... haha JK! It's acutally not that hard, i have a bunch of web sites i use for the Math and LED calculation... yeah theres math involved... it's a wonder i got this far! haha. ;-)
