It's good, clean work, though I personally like a few more splashes of red detailing to pick them out.

How were the bases done?

Nice use of washes and highlighting to pick out detail on the armour, and a solid all round paint job

That back pic really shows off how brilliant a simple wash can look when done over a base colour of metal. And is that chunks of GS you've used there to make the base?

Smexy... I like...

I will agree with the recommendation for some more red detailing, but I'm happy the way it is.

What kind of wash did you do on the gold of the wings?

My only comment is that the black wash shaded down the silver instead of just going into the cracks. Perhaps go back over the large flat areas with silver again to rectify it.

how i made the bases is shown here..
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/372118.page
about the red.. yes I know what you're all talking about.. i feel it too but as they are terminators they don't all have the possibility to give them the red iconography on their shoulders.. but the next termiantor will be with a bit more red on hos shoulder.. and I just realised that i forgot the personal shield thingie on his shoulder.. -.-

the gold was a scorched brown basecoat, shining gold painted over, 2 washes with devlan mud.. very easy..

thx for the comments guys

lol, I thought something was missing too (Shoulder Shield). That's a great place for you to do some red and white heraldry that will pop.

Here's a Grey Knight that I did for a buddy. This was one of the first models I painted.

Oh, I had something that I was gonna say earlier, but forgot about...

The eyes! I want to see them GLOW! It doesn't feel like they stand out very much right now.

And I really like how the heraldry looks... beautiful

Nice work. I like how you made your metallics look metallic without being clumpy or streaky.

Yeah, the shields with the heraldry does offer a very nice added layer of detail to the guys and they really do pop.

Awesome job, keep at it! And I'm thinking about stealing your base making method for some new guys.

Basing suggestion.
Consider highlights on the black basing. It will break it up more, and let the painted lava effect pop even more. Models solid though. If you don't think you can do the highlight without making the overall look change then skip it.

the base rocks have had a drybrysh codex grey, very gently, but it is inposible to spot on the pics IRL they look better
