When I upload pictures to Dakka, I've already titled them the way I like for my own filing system. It's kind of repetitive to then copy/paste them all again. A feature I'd like to see is a checkbox on http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/gallery-upload.jsp to use the file names, sans extension, as the title of the images, just like you can already indicate if they belong in a specific category.

I'd completely understand if the ROI means the programming time is better spent elsewhere though; dunno how the idea tickles you or how adopted it would be.

Originally I left it out to stop us from getting a load of DSC_0001 type filenames clogging up the gallery, but I can see that was a bit shortsighted of me now, and I should make it an option. When the gallery gets redone, I'll add it in.
