Its just a curiosity question, do big gunz (or grot artillary as i call it) use the battle wagons BS?

Yes. That's what the caveat of being 'without crew' is about in the codex. They are manned by Orks, who can't hit a barn from inside

Zzapp guns are awesome Not too effective sometimes, but still miracles of orky technology

Also you can't kill the gunner if you roll too high.

I usually equip Kannon on BW's, as the blast version of the shot can be fired as a defensive weapon

Anything but a kannon is probably utterly wasted on a battlewagon. Zzap gunz are already the worst gun when shot by gretchin, there really is no point in mounting it on a battlewagon.

Yea i like kannon, but im not sure if im even puting that on

Sometimes Ill take a gun wagon, BW w/x4 bigshootas and a kannon and just sit it somewhere and shoot the hell out of things. Its not competitive at all, but all those shots seem to help when I tag team it with say, a boyz mob assaulting.

Not only is it ineffective, but it's also pointless since a killkannon is ordnance

There are times you'd want to use guns other than the killkannon KK are near useless against high AV tanks, for example, whereas rokkits and (sometimes) Zapps can be. You might also be in a situation where you don't want a unit-wiping pieplate scattering onto your own units.

Plus that much dakka on the wagon would look awesome. Style is at least as important as Substance, outside of Mathhammered tournament lists

I'd probably not take it to a tournament, but in a home game i'd be fine using it

Great, it's not like it was super awesome as an anti-MC/vehicle weapon anyway.
What we need is auto-hitting zzap guns and being able to mount 4 of them on a battle wagon. A zaap wagon of sorts that replaces transport capacity with giant ork batteries.

agreed, the zapp gun should be an auto hit against vehicles/MC (and +4 on anything else), I mean if you have to roll for a single shot gun that delievrs ONE stength (insert S) shot, with the chance of it not even doing anything, at BS 2...... not that much point taking it!

I've now realized that I will never even be remotely close to the warboss that Jidmah is. This is the start to the best ork list I have ever known.
