I just ran an auction on ebay. The total selling price is 11 dollars.... its 1.3 lbs.... shipping to sweden is 14.55 (WTF!)

I've got the box as small as I can pack it, its as light as possible. I've tried FedEx (over $100), and the USPS is the best rate.

Is there anything else?

BTW this is my 1000th post. Yay!

USPS is probably your cheapest way, at least within the US. But I have to say, $14.55 seems a bit high. How are you sending it? 1st Class or Priority? Express Mail is the fastest and the most expensive with USPS, if you didn't know that already.

Good Luck!

Other than moving to Sweden, I don't think you're going to get it any cheaper.
Hope you're getting the buyer to pay for shipping :(

The package is slightly too large to use any of the special options, but even those (vhs box, video box, small package box, large envelope) those are all 13.25. My box is 10 x 7 x 5. I was really hoping for a $6 dollar solution, but I see that the days of cheap international are gone.

Flat Rate Boxes are going to be the cheapest option in most cases.

Hope you didn't offer free international shipping with your auction, and that the buyer pays shipping costs, otherwise... well, you will at least know better next time.

Send it surface mail? This is the cost of international shipping, 1.3lbs is quite a weight.

Yeah, you're lucky to ship 1.3lbs domestically for six bucks.

Shipping in a padded envelope will usually be cheaper than a box. First class mail is cheaper than priority or express. USPS is cheaper than Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, etc.

Yeah, remember that you're paying US postage to get it from wherever you are to the airport that's going to send it overseas. Then, you're paying the postage over there to take it from the airport to it's destination, not to mention any customs charges that may be necessary just to get it across the border.

I don't mind shipping internationally, but it is considerably more expensive than domestic post. Always indicate buyer pays shipping on ebay to CYA...

You should have only offered to sell to Domestic parties...snicker. Sorry, Sazzlefrats, I couldn't resist as usually you are an eBay god.
