So my friend started playing 40k and chose 'nids. Problem for my ork army is he fields alot of MCs and I honestly don't know how to fight them. Carnifexs shouldn't be a problem because of Initiative 1(so one the charge the pks strike at same time as the the carnifex). My real concern though is his things like Trygons, Mawlocs, and whatever 'nid players field that get so many high str atks with no saves I can see my nobz dying already.

30 Boyz should be able to drag down anything ^^ especially with the hidden Klaw

Yah but I'm a bit unorthodox. I field units of 20 shootas with no PK nob...

Both the 'Fex and Trygon can be tarpitted, but the Mawloc has Hit and Run (correct me if I'm wrong, don't have my codex at the mo') and therefore cannot be. However, the Mawloc isn't as effective in CC due to lower WS, less attacks, and no Scytals to grant it rerolls.

Lootas are a good choice against TMCs. Using larger units (10-15) ensures that at least a few high-Strength shots get through. The S7 makes wounding easier, and the volume of shots almost guarantees a couple wounds. Large mobs of Boyz with PK/Bosspole Nobz are also useful as they can tarpit and whittle down TMCs over 2-3 Turns. Quick note on the 'Fex: 2x Scytals, AG, and Frag Spines gets 5 S10 attacks at I3 on the charge, hits at initiative due to the assault grenades, and ignores armor. Do not let a valuable unit like a Nob squad get charged by it as, unlike the Trygon and Mawloc, it can ID your expensive Nobz relatively easily.

You should always have a PK nob with your boyz squads.

Can you really help anyone who posts a response like this? You take the #1 staple of our army which is boyz with a PK nob, it's not a warboss, it's not a KFF, it's not a deffrolla, it's not lootas it's boyz with PK nobz and boss poles. You can't come here and ask for advice and then shoot down the biggest no brainer our army has to work with.

If it's your theme not too, then respect man. But don't come to Dakka, a no doubt competitive think tank and then post in the tactics section looking for help then shoot down the best way of dealing with your issue.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd
-Alexis de Tocqueville.
