At first I wasn't sure what it was about this that made Daniel Radcliffe suddenly seem more grown-up, but then it struck me. D'oh! He's not playing Harry Potter anymore! This movie may be awesome, or boring as hell. I'm waiting for one more trailer to make up my mind.

Watched this yesterday, I enjoyed that last shivery moment when the face appeared in the window over his shoulder. That said, this looks like a DVD watch to me.
We studied this (the play, not the film, obviously) in GCSE Drama - Man, it brings back memories; just hope Radcliffe lives up to it, because he wouldn't be my first choice for the lead.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.
"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation

I'm not usually into theatre but I was taken to see the play by school in year 12. Was one of the best things I have seen, hopefully the film will live up to it. My whole school is gagging to see this
I'm kind of excited for it but I've a feeling that without the amazing atmosphere of the play the actual plot may fall flat on its face. The play is fantastic because it relies so much on feeding off the audience to heighten the tension sending fear literally rippling through the crowd. Without that live interaction I think it'll lose something.

Indeed; anyone who's seen the live performance will know what I mean when I say that a good amount of the initial mystery stems from seeing it done live, and will probably be dismissed as simple post-production editing or CGI with a film.
