What colour is Ork blood?

I'm wanting to add some gruesome details to my BA models but i'm not sure on the colour of Ork blood.

I'm thinking red, black or dark green?

Any ideas?

In the beginning Ork Blood was a dark Green...until GW changed the fluff because they thought Red blood looked the best. But for bit of a change I'd paint it red with a bit of purple?

In the 7th edition of the Fantasy rulebook (I suppose not much has changed in Orcs in the 40k) their blood is "purplish-red".

I'm sure that its described as dark green, almost black in the Cain books?

Was it retconned that Ork blood was green due to the algae in their blood stream?
If so....why? Pointless tinkering imo, it'll always be green to me.

I believe GW has changed it to red because its what we are use too
In my mind not a big issue, none us humans are blood red skinned

Can really go with either to personal taste

It was red long before some crappy writer decided that Orcs would now be mushrooms with green blood. If they changed it back to red, then good. It was always red to me.

I never liked the green. Red is what most use nowadays i think.

I would go with Black(or rather Dark angels Green) or Dark Purple/ Bright Purple they would look awesome and original. Purple Blood on a Bad Moon, would look brilliant.

Blood Red is so last season Darling....

Green seems appropriate because of thier skin color. I actually look more towards goblin green over dark angels. The way fresh blood is brighter than the drying edges.
I just don't think a green skinned Ork should have red blood.

In Orcslayer it mentions black orc blood... That is orcs though not Orks
