I've been looking at MrMysterys post "Finecst - An actual flaw count" again and I've found that this thread doesn't actually count the flaws that people write about.
This is were this thread springs into action.
I don't know what other people think, but I like polls like these a lot (thats why I keep starting them). They give you some quite informative numbers, unlike a question wich only provides you with other peoples experience. And since most people already wrote about their experience in the other thread, you dont have to post them again here. But please vote, so I (and you) get some numbers about miscasts.

I've purchased 12 kits that (some big, some units), I haven't had a flaw in my minis yet. It does take time to clean but I haven't found anything that was so bad I had to return it. Only issue I had was that the piece that clips into the base was warped (which I promptly cut off and pinned to my resin base from warcast studios).
I actually like the medium as I can sand the feet to make sure its smooth and level before I attach to my base as well. Next, the mini takes less time to glue together. My only gripe is that they are a major hassle to clean because the flash is everywhere!

Six blisters, no flaws that I've noted.

I love internet polls without actual statistical validity or relevance.
None of the 500 finecast models I have purchased have had any flaws at all.

It does rather depend on what individuals think counts as a 'perfect cast', because plenty of people get on with some rather poor models. Also you'd need a measure of how many metal models were perfect casts, because a lot weren't 'perfect'. Generally of metal models, they are okay, certainly not what you'd return to a shop, you just work with it, but they weren't perfect. I don't for instance return models that show pitting in the metal, but they aren't 'perfect'.

I find this VERY hard to believe
The latest model I wanted but was too late to get in metal: Vlad.
They had 2 blisters at the local GW and 2 blisters at the local regular store, and all four had the fingers of the stretched out hand messed up. Either parts of the fingers were missing or they looked almost transparantly thin and crumpled. It seems that the thinner the detail/part the higher the rate of mishaps.
It's sad though because I really want the Vlad model, but as long as there is no acceptable cast around no sale will be made.
