First off, i'm sorry if this is in the wrong board.

Second, i just got my Khador battlebox today, and the models look awesome. However, I want to magnetize the arms, but i'm not entirely sure where to put the magnets. Should I place 'em between the body and the shoulder plates, or between the shoulder plates and arms?

Thanks in advance.

No replies yet, i'll guess I have to futher explain my question.

See, i want to buy the heavy warjack kit, with the 3 different sets of arms, but do i also get 3 different sets of shoulder plates, so i can glue the full arms, and then magnetize the shoulder plates and body?

You only get the exact parts that differ, not even necessarily complete arms. For example, the Cygnar heavy kit only has 2 arms, but it has 1x open fist, 1x hand with quake hammer, 1x heavy barrel for the left arm and 1x open fist for the right arm, 1x shock hammer right arm, and 2 metal storm cannons for the fore arms.

Before you get to magnetizing too much, you may want to pickup that heavy jack kit in advance.

I have magnetized my Cygnar heavy so it can be fielded as any of the 3. You definitely need to know what parts the heavy jack kit contains to succeed in magnetizing. You need to put the magnets in different places in the arms in the cygnar as the arms of the defender and ironclad/ cyclone go together differently.

With a quick search on the youtube I found this video of magnetizing khador heavy kit , which might interest you.

The video is kinda wierd, but it does show a good way to magnetize the jacks. I will probably end up putting my friends together and will do it that way.

Not sure about Khador/Cygnar's heavy, but the Cryx heavy is pretty straight forward with gluing the shoulder bits in, and putting a magnet at the tip of the arms and corresponding shoulder joint. In the case of Cryx, though, the Reaper's giant claw piece was very front-heavy so it would always rotate forward. I remedied this by putting a short 1/32" piece of pinning rod in the arm piece and putting a corresponding hole in the shoulder bit. This made a kind of lock-and-key that keeps the front-heavy weapon from drooping forward. I would imagine some of Khador or Cygnar's long guns might do the same.

I have magnetized the cygnar heavy and it is pretty straight forward. The only fiddly parts are that you have to magnetize the right fist and then how do you magnetize the Cyclone's chainguns. Both of these can be solved with small enough magnets.

I haven't had the droopy weapon syndrome, but the pose of my jack might affect that.

Cygnar and Cryx jack kits are both pretty easy to magnetize. I have done both. After looking at my friends khador and seeing that video they should be even easier.

Helped my frined magnetize his Ret jack kit the other day and magnetized the menoth and khador ones today.

Hardest ones were probably the cygnar and ret ones due to the number of options and magnets needed. Khador probably in the middle, mostly due to the fact that it has those wierd ridges in the armpit area between the arm and shoulder. Menoth and cryx were pretty easy since they are pretty much just arms or hands only.
