Its called having a song "stuck in your head"

easiest way to fix it is find another song to stick in your head or wait for it to go away...

I love this song, but it sticks in my head like nothing else.

I think it's the 8-bit beats that do it. I'm a sucker for something that sounds like it's from a NES Mega Man game.

I've got Daft Punk's Adagio for Tron stuck in my head atm.

It's a rare thing. I can often go days without listening to ANY music whatsoever, absorbed in the book I'm reading.

It's usually video games themes that plague me. Sonic is the worst offender.

MAKE IT STOP! OH GOD! PLEASE, MAKE IT STOP!

The Imperial March, Hell March or theme from Zulu pop up from time to time, and I really don't mind.

I know what you mean, a catchy beat, along with synthesizers and a good chorus always drags me in.

It's a rare thing, A thread about catchy music and Lady gaga is the best one so far, by a long shot.

Here's a fun one, it's meant to be an experiment in 'impossible music' (unless you have like 32 fingers lol) but is damn catchy:

@Cheesecat: Good old "Where in the world is Carmen SanDiego" by Rockapella!

What a great group.

They list Mr. Children as a rock band, but they don't sound like a rock band, they kind of sound like this

As for how to get that song out of your head, listen to something suitably epic, such as this song which is the best song ever written, click the link and get that song out of your head.

I have the Sega Classics Collection on PS3 and that music to Green Hill Zone gets stuck in my head on a fairly regular basis. As does 'Walk' by Pantera, winners of most repetitive riff for the last 15 or so years!
