going to a tourney and just making sure I know the rules for Karandras and dedicated transports.

Scorpian Chainsword - Does this make the power fist str9 or is this only for base attacks?

Karandras gets 4 Attacks Base , 1 for the charge , 2 for his mandiblaster , 1 for CC weapon. So a total of 8 attacks on the charge?

Karandras can be deployed in a Transport at the start of the game assuming this transport is a striking scorpian squads dedicated transport?

If a squad has a dedicated transport can they choose to NOT deploy in the transport at the start of the game?

Karandras also can Outflank, and this DOES apply to the transport he is a part of?


Im pretty sure I know how it works, I just want to make sure.

Special rules from different weapons don't cross over. You attack with the power fist, or with the chainsword. Only if you attack with the chainsword does the chainsword's rule apply.

Or a non-dedicated transport, yes. Or non-Aspect units in their dedicated transports.

There is nothing to requires them to deploy in their transport, no.

He's never a 'part of' a transport vehicle. Outflank is specifically conferred on dedicated transports only, which Karandras can't have. He can join another unit in their dedicated transport, but that doesn't make it his. He's just along for the ride.

Scorpions in a dedicated transport they bought can outflank in it.

Yes. Karandaras can join a unit of Scorpions embarked in a Wave Serpent who are Outflanking.

Correct for Darkness Eternal's response(as a base response as he had not mentioned Karandas at all, just the squad).

Incorrect for Sarigar's response. Phoenix Lords grant their units the Exarch powers(where applicable) so Karandas Joining the Scorps in their transport while being placed in reserve grant them the ability to prepare outflanking while going into reserves(along with their DT).

How was my response incorrect? I'm not following your explanation why my statement was not correct.
