I bought a 216 to take to Afghanistan on my deployment. I modified some trays to hold my lamp and a few other things. My plan was to place the 216 in a Pelican case to further protect the minis. Come to find out the pelican case can’t go, only Army issue items. Funny thing this was issued to me but it turns out only the green duffle bag can go.

Plan B. I wrap the case in bubble wrap and she goes in the duffle. This duffle was in our follow on baggage and it gets abused as anyone in the military can attest to. Basically I had to leave the bag on the curb with about 200 other bags. Some knuckle dragging neanderthal puts it on a truck, stuffs it into a shipping container, it arrives, more knuckle draggers throw them in the dirt, onto another truck and finally out side my new living quarters (in the dirt).

Now these little guys are metal guard and some with fragile resin shotguns. I open the bad to discover the bubble wrap in tatters. Under the bubble wrap the case is noticeably crushed and malformed. Steel Legion, perfect.

Well the guard flak armour is good for something.....

Wow, goes to show that Battlefoam are the best (Maybe not the cheapest) bags out their, I had a cardoard box with blue foam (KR multicase, didn,t even survive the backseat of my car!
