I'm a long time gamer, an old-school GW player but new to Warhammer, and I started painting an Eldar army a few months ago.

Utterly overwhelmed by the complexity of rules, I thought that someone should have made a good army calculator for the iPhone.
When I couldn't find one that I thought any good, I convinced myself I could do better, and started writing my own.

Since I've used their IP, I was aware there would be copyright problems, so I approached GW about my ideas.
I've shown them the application and discussed it at some length with their legal team.
They have made some allowance, and in strict accordance with their instructions I made various alterations and released a Necron Codex for the iPhone.
This is essentially a free prototype for the army calculator, fully crediting GW, and using the soon-to-be out-of-date Necrons.

I'm seeking feedback from players about the application and my future army calculator, which will use similar features.
Can someone please suggest the correct place on Dakka Dakka to post about this to let other forum members know about the application?

I am very surprised GW let you do that! It looks very handy though. You can post about it in the News & Rumors section to let other forum members know about the application.
