Subject: Started dwarfs, need advice where to go next

So I started dwarfs because ther was nothing else that I WANTED on maelstrom but the box of miners, and it all went from there.
So far what I have is the following:
Miners Box
Thunderers/quarralers box
Dwarf lord
Dwarf Slayer lord
Battalion
cannon/organ gun
I took advantage of the ponies in the Miner boox, so I have 2 organ guns and 2 Cannons, with the oens from the battalion.
So anyway, I was just wondering if someone could perhaps put together an army list comprising what I already have and a little bit more
Also, what should I purchase next, and what tactics are good with what I have, thanks,
sorry if I seem bossy, I'm really eager

Dwarves-about 2000 points, most unpainted. Kill me now.

Well I hate to throw down a list without knowing what direction you want to go with them. Do you want an all out shooty cheesy gun line? Do you want to go with mostly blocks of hammerers/great weapon warriors? Or a mix of the 2? Do you want a dual ambushing rangers list with bugman, miners and maybe an anvil for support?

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Awesome good choice. The nice thing about this one is it speeds up the game too as you can be in combat on turn 1. If you go for this kind of list you are good on war machines. I would normally always recommend a Grudge Thrower, they are probably the best thing in our book but with this type of list you are looking at 1 turn of shooting maybe 2 if you get the first turn.
OK based on what you have and what this strategy requires you need a few things. Now the basis of this strategy is 2 ranger units, one has to be long beards lead by Joseph Bugman. The other ranger unit can either be Quarrellers with great weapons or Warriors with great weapons. Don't get a 2nd long beard unit going as they are expensive but you could if you wanted too. In the other ranger group you can use Runes of Brotherhoods on Thanes and Runesmiths to put them in the ranger groups. One dirty trick is to take a cheap thane, give him RoBrotherhood and RoChallenge then you start your scouting move in an area where someone would have to roll double 6s to charge you. Then you use it and they charge you and likely fail or have to flee, if you line it up right you can force them to flee through their own units causing panic and mayhem. You then add in a large block of miners, miners are great they are essentially great weapon warriors costed at one more point. If you use a large unit of 30+ go with a steam drill. Now you cannot charge the turn you show up, but if you have an anvil you can use it's power to allow a unit to move, even charge in the shooting phase. It's cheesy and and will catch your opponent off guard, with the Anvil, with RuneLord and say the MRoBalance you will own the magic phase generating 4 dispel dice while your opponent is at -1 power dice, so chances are you will have more dispel dice then their power dice.
Now here is some battle reports by little boy blue that show off how this tactic works, except he uses 1 large unit of long beard rangers,2 units of miners and cannons and it works well from what you will see: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/370840.page
