So i'm new chaos player and this is list i came up with


HQ

Daemon prince w/ wings, mark of slaanesh and lash of submission 155



TROOPS
10x chaos space marines w/ flamer, melta , rhino 200
10x chaos space marines w/ flamer, melta, rhino 200
9x khorne berzerkers in rhino + Skull champion w/ power fist 264


HEAVY SUPPORT
Defiler 150


TOTAL: 969

I think this list looks pretty good, for more options in heavy support you could swap out the defiler for two obliterators. Also, I find that whilst it may be very cheezy, taking Abaddon in a 1000 point list is pretty ridiculous. If your opponent doesn't have something to deal with him specifically he's going to lose most likely. Daemon Princes are great, I think Warptime is a better power than lash when you have wings though. That's just my experience.

i am going to be a little rough but dont take it the wrong way.

Deamons are awesome but have you tired a nurgle one tough six is hard to beat

and if you stick with the deamon switch it to warptime which is probobly the most overpowered phychic power in the whole game

as for troops well i guess it is personaly prefrance

first off i find that bezerkers are not really that good personal prefrance.

my suggestion would be to do a group of
10 plauge with 2 meltas in a rhino
9 plauge with 2 melta in a rhino
or change out meltas with plasma guns


and maybe some havocs?



i know this list is not exactly 1000 but it is preety close

though i have to say if you are running a deamon price ROCK ON!!! cause they are a lot of fun.

also maybe try out several ideas and see which one you like. but remember it is all for nothing if you are not having fun

CSMs are vulnerable to morale issues (not fearless, just Ld9), so they would benefit from a champ with an icon of chaos glory (Ld10 plus reroll). Otherwise they will break, run, and get wiped out in sweeping advance. Frankly, I stay away from them exactly because of this issue. I'd rather take cult troops for the fearless. Specifically, plaguers are so much better than the CSMs although they are more expensive.

You may want to rethink the weapon load. Mixing the weapon types makes for a very inefficient result regardless of target. I'd take 2x meltas instead.

Zerkers look good except for the PF. You have krak grenades and furious charge, so you may still do well against vehicles. On the other hand, PF is expensive and you may not get to swing it before you die. So, PW is IMO a much better choice for the skull champion. Look at Kharn.

for your heavy support you could take an obltorator for "sniping" and a vindicator ap2 is pretty good
