Now its clear. thanks.
A cementery of ships.
Do we know who these vessels belonged to?
Do we know if its a gate?
It seem far out there, maybe most of the races of this galaxy never went that far. So I'd guess its there to either have a role in a codex late in 5th ed or its a tool to insert another race into 40k next edition.

It's a plot seed. Some day, it can be planted, watered, and grow into a full fledged story arc!
I think it's just one of those things that they seeded in there to give them a jumping off point in the future. These plot seeds are all over the 40k universe. It makes it easier for them to insert new material into the canon fluff.

Pretty much this.
It's also there for players to make their own fluff. Ultramarines fly into it and go back in time. Smurfs vs Mongolians!

That would be an uncharacteristically awful retcon.
And is thus probably on the studio's to-do list.

new race might be something like the Demiurg (couple of models for battle fleet gothic, aparrently they hate orks and like mining asteroids), or Hrud

The Demiurg are part of the Tau empire. There arent enough Hrud to be a new race. EDIT: *playable race

Which is a shame, I'd like to see some models and rules for the Hrud, and indeed for some of the other minor Xenos races.
I'm less enthusiastic at the prospect of another faction appearing unexpectedly through a convenient hole in time and space. Unless it's the Daleks, of course.

I thought the hrud were like skaven but nastier, infesting the lower levels of hives on many worlds.
also I'm pretty sure that at some stage there were rules for them, aparrently they had some kind of warp powered aquebus (sp?) Automatically Appended Next Post: http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Hrud
also check 3rd ed rulebook

It could be the home of the Energy race from the cabal
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Cabal
since the hadex is thought to be sentient

Sounds interesting. So potentially a missing primarch could reappear as they have been stuck in the Hadex for say 12k, as the 'Lost' could literally mean the lost, as in went to the shops to buy some cigarettes and never returned!

The Hadex is a red hole, and its full of ships stuck in there. They cant leave, as their ships just dont work and they most fly forever near the Hadex. Some sya its a living thing, some say that it aspits out time from other dimensions.

Emm, actually, The Hadex Anomaly is home to the Stigmatus warband of Heretics/Rebels/ Traitor Legionnares. It lies in the Jericho Reach region, long disconnected from the body of the Imperium but recently rediscovered thanks to a warpgate portal. The main world there is a Forgeworld named Samech, where corrupted Magi reside in their Irradial Forge.
Source: Deathwatch RPG by Fantasy Flight Games. More info to be found in "The Emperor Protects" supplement and the "Achilus Assault" suppplement.
P.S: The mention of the derelict ships are probably the remains of an Ad Mech fleet sent to pacify the planet when the Magi turned to Chaos.
