I voted no, because of the wording of the question. I would like to see a Lost and the Damned book, but not one built around all the 'current known Chaos cults.' Rather, I would like to see it a generic book with options to build list of mutant uprising, Alpha Legion forces, traitor Guard, and any combination thereof. If this 'dex had special characters to help you represent Blood Pact and so forth, all the better I suppose.

I voted yes, because I thought he meant a fan codex. I always liked the blood pact, but, it would be better if all the traitor forces went into one book, but with different army lists for the different style cults.

Elite military structure similarly to IG, but more CC oreintated - Blood pact

Endless tide of mutants and degenerates - Lost and damned

Infiltrating/recon force (Elite) - Alpha legion

Civilians/rioters - Pissed off locals

.

That.

The problem is where you reach the point were it should be included in Codex Imperial Guard.

No.

Penal Legionnaires and/or Veterans.
Storm Troopers.
CCS with Straken.
Whatever armor you want to take along.

There's your Blood Pact.

By my will I deny thee, by my heart I spurn thee, by my hand I destroy thee; fiend of emptiness, to the void I cast thy blackened soul...

This. Just use the IG book.

I say no, also because of the wording of the question. I think all the Chaos forces should be in one book.

I think there should be a cultists, traitors, and heretics codex. I wouldn't just want 90% of it copy/pasted over from the IG dex though. Something like the old Lost and the Damned book would make me very happy.

I voted yes not because I really care about Blood Pact singularly, but because I want a codex full of mutants and scumbags trying to take down the Imperium with butter knives and faulty firearms.

That. Using the IG codex is fine, but lacks fitting rules for several typical chaos cult things.

"We train young men to drop fire on people, but their commanders won't allow them to write "feth" on their airplanes because it's obscene!" (Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now)

And you know what's funny? "feth" is actually censored on a forum about a dystopia where the nice guys are the ones who kill only millions of innocents, not billions.

This. The debacle of splitting CSM and Chaos Daemons was a bad enough experience; no need to go in deeper.

PS: 3E WH Codex actually had rules for mutants, witches and traitors - dunno if this helps. I think it would be cool if little things like these could find their way into current codices again, or as Chapter Approved articles in WD.

The Lost and the Damned from the Eye of Terror book was a whole list of these. It was a thing of beauty.

So true, so true. I wish GW would still produce material like this. The little suplemental codices for things like Craftworld Ulthwe armies and such were great too, and really all the flavour you needed for a themed army. This is what I want to see brought back, but with a proper 'dex for LatD.
