Hi everyone, I was just wondering if a Tau EMP grenade has any effect on a Necron Monilith.

I can find no reason they would not function normally.

Read the rules for the monolith. What in there makes you think that it wouldn't?

Ok, thanks for the help, guys! BTW, I thought maybe the "Living Metal" rule didn't allow EMP, but I guess that's a kill point for me, next game!

Living metal simply modifies what can be used/added for penetration rolls.

EMP grenades circumvent that roll.

You roll to hit a skimmer as normal. On a 1-3 they have no effect and on a 4-5 a glancing hit on a 6 its a penetrating hit. I believe. Essentially they are weaker Haywire Grenades.
I see no reason why they wouldn't work normally.

BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare.

Yup. Haywire and EMP grenades, haywire blasters, wraithcannon and anything else that autoglances/auto pens regardless of armour value work just fine on a Monolith.
