I'm flying into Heathrow this Sunday the 28th and I will be there on layover from 6am-11am. I was hoping to pick up the May, June, July, and August White Dwarf magazines (I've only got April 2011 and it's mostly read).

Does anyone know where the closest GW store would be to Heathrow AND when they'd be open. OR barring that, where I could purchase a few issues of White Dwarf during my layover in Heathrow?

I'll try to help you out here. I do not live in London and I have not been to a GW Store in London, but I was just there a few weeks ago.

From Heathrow you can take the Subway line to London Central (can't remember exactly but this should take you about 20 mins). Than you can work your way around the Underground to the Oxford Circus station and walk up. There's a GW Store on Oxford Street (Between the Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road), not sure which is faster.

Paying for either the subway or a taxi is pretty expensive to just get a few White Dwarf magazines and your time with be very tight. I think the Oxford Store is the closest, but I don't know if they store will open that early on Sunday.

Unfortunately, the stores won't be open that early on a sunday morning. It's unlikely there'll be anywhere you can get white dwarf then, unless one of the newsagents in the airport sells them.

Good ol' British Sundays (I was stationed out in Newquay 10 years ago and the lack of good store times on Sundays drove me nuts back then - annoying to see that it's still screwing me over). Sigh.
