and here they are, my elite choice, and my perferred HQ (what can i say, i am an ultramarine purist) all in one nice neat little package. I just recently got done with them while i was home from work sick. let me know hat you think. i am open to all feedback.
also, before we go forward, my camera overcompensated in its white balance, so some of the whites will look washed out, there is normally a little more detail than what you are seeing, although truth to be told, not much.

AustonT wrote:Pretty fricken sweet. How'd you like to be the guy behind Sicarus trying to get out the assault ramp with that banner? Very well done, even if the are smurfs.
thanks for the compliment, and i like to think that sicarius's banner is on a spring loaded pole that rolls up, like an old school projector screen in a class room.
its the only way i can make this even REMOTELY work in my sad, broken little mind.

Banner poles have always lived in a weird catch22 for me. Kinda cool, but completely inpractical. but how can you pass them up on badass models.
You cant. its one of those things you just have to take for granted, kinda like how video game charectors can carry nine weapons on them at one time, or how one guy can survive atmospheric re-entry, or, well, you know the drill...

Thanks for the feedback. The freehand doesn't take too long, because i am so accustomed to doing it. All of my vehicles have lots of ultramarine logos on them, and unfortunately the water slide transfers just fall or eventually flake off (even through clear coat}, so i don't use them.
that rhino took me about 30 min to do that level of free hand on it.
it should have taken me longer. i messed up on the elite choice symbol on the top of the razorback, and i screwed up the the spacing on the ultramarine logo right next too it. I got excited because that's the first new body razorback i had completed and was excited about it. worse part is, i'm not finished. since i am doing all new rhinos and razorbacks, i am going to muddy them a little bit, around the treads. not a full weathering, just a little more to make them look used.
Automatically Appended Next Post: also, i took the advice and removed the original pictures and added some bigger ones....

Well, its my mistake actually, i was thinking that Sicarious didn't come with his helmet to put on him, and he had to hold it. i think the first run of the model was like that. then they added (or i am sorely mistaken) the second helmet and plasma pistol. either way, i got the Sicarious in a trade, and thought he was converted, but several have asked the question, and so i have corrected it. my apologies, it is in fact not converted.
i got the model from agreeing to paint a friend of mines grey knights army. he gave it to me as a token of good faith, and so now i have painted grey knights for a while now and really REALLY want to go back to doing a standard marine army. Knights are giving me headaches, especially in his unique color scheme of purple, black and gold, but he likes them, and that's all that matters. (although why you would want me to paint your models is kind of shocking. I look at some of the painting gurus on the services thread and am blown away by how much better they are than me.)
