There are loads of threads about films at any one time in the OT forum. Would it be worthwhile having a dedicated film forum similar to the video games one?

You don't think? Maybe it's just obsessive tidying up desire on my part.

I just don't think there's enough threads to support an entire cinema thread.

Maybe not. It seems like there's often a lot to me, especially these last few weeks. They don't exactly dominate the forum, but I reckon there's as busy as the video game forum. I may be wrong on this, though, I've not done the maths.

I think this may be just a weird thing with Dakka Dakka.

If a topic gets popular, (We had a serious zombie problem) new members will create threads, trying to get attention and assert their stature in the DakkaDakka world. If you look at this post, you can see it in action.

Just joking with ya! But my original point still stands.

I know, I just like to act all huffy. I bow to your 12 months of extra Dakking. Still, I'd like to see a dedicated film forum nonetheless! It would give me a good place to assert my stature.

LOOK AT THIS IMPORTANT POST FROM THIS IMPORTANT PERSON.

But seriously, I think it'd be as popular as VG. Position stated, awaiting admins to tell me it won't be done.

Generally we dont like adding non-wargaming forums as this is a wargaming website. Video games tends to have a lot of actual crossover due to licensing (GW, PP, etc), and offtopic covers the rest. This is also the reason we dont have other forums for crossover interests like military re-enactment, CCGs, etc.

Check out our new, fully plastic tabletop wargame - Maelstrom's Edge, made by Dakka!

Ah, OK, that makes sense. Thanks for the reply!
