Hi all

looking for some advise or pointers in the right direction

Magic the gathering has once again made a come back and our club now sees regular games with up to 15 players playing in everything from 1-1 right upto large 8- man games and even doubles etc

have been asked if we as a club could run a tournement for the game and although i am a player and enjoy the game i have not got the first clue as to how to set up and run a tournement so i have come here for advise

we have a large venue that could easily hold 60 plus gamers with enough tables to do this also

was looking to run the tournement over a whole day so 9am till 6pm so a 9 hour window ( with time for lunch and breaks)

what sort of things would need to be sorted and how do you run a tournement with a larger amount of players i.e points scoring, draw, rotation, limitation compulsery things etc

if anyone can help or indeed point me in the right direction i.e are there tournement rules guidlines somewere on the net

hope to hear from you all soon

cheers

P.S
will be looking at dec pos jan for tournement if anyone is interested it will be in north wales just outside chester
