Some folks may find this interesting.

The sculpt quality is not the same style or detail as the FW DKoK, but the figs are nice enough and quite affordable. Note that it'd be an easy mod to trim off the ammo belt/clip for a very Lasgun'ish rifle. The style reminds me alot of Warzone minus the huge shoulder pads that seem to plague that line.

The figs are available in a set or individualy and there's also a similar range of Sci-Fi WW1 Brits also with a rather Warzone'ish asthetic.

You can see the whole range here:

They're funky, but I kinda like them. Reminds me of a lot of sci fi stuff I painted when I was a kid.

The legs are far too short and the hands are enormous. It's like they took all the disproportionate parts of GW models and exaggerated them even more.

And the guns arn't very good either, nothing like any guns I have seen. Maybe like a 1980s take on a laser or something. Very unlikable.

This is pretty much what I thought, hence the refference to Warzone. I like funky, odd and older-style figs, expecially when they're cheap. That's why I've got some early 90's Wood Elf charachters waiting in a vat of Simple Green and a squad of Denizen Khiff (much better scultpts than these) on my painting desk.

DX3 wrote:Rogue Trader Era German Squats!

That's actually a good point, I'm having a tough time judging the height of these figs. They look like they might be significantly shorter than the Brits, but it could just be a distorted pic. I've posted a question to the sculptor asking how high they are from sole to eye, but have yet to hear back.

Yeah, ugleeeee. That said, the Brits could make decent Nurgle IG.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

The body proportions are odd, sure, but that could actually suit use in 40K - between the bad food, radiation, and chaotic mutation, it's a wonder soldiers can walk and hold weapons anyway My objection is more to the weapons, which look too clunky. Barrel swaps look possible for most, though...

£1.50 each.

At that price, the quality of the sculpting does come under scrutiny and does not equate to the cost.

If they'd been half that, I might have defended them.

Half that? Who is selling metal minis for half a pound.

Price wise, they're almost as cheap as they come for 28mm, though EM4 does sell better for a bit less.

Just got this pic from the manufacturer. Looks like they are right on for heroic 28mm (knock 3mm off for the slotta), though they'll be a touch smaller than your current 30-32mm ( sole to eye) GW Guardsman or Marine.

I don't really need another trooper army (already have one painted and one waiting for paint) but I do like these goofy little figs and the Sci-FI Brits have a pretty cool post-apoc wasteland look.

The brits look nice, i would use them for some retinue or traitor guard. The germans are OUCH!!!.

Anyway, WGF sell plastic versions of those, for a fraction of the price (20 dollars for 18), and their quality is better...

But the brits still call me up...

I got to admit these don't really float my boat in any shape or form. I think they will have a very limited appeal but thanks for posting them anyway.

I think if people really want to get into some sort of historical Sci-Fi World War game but WW2 and maybe not use the mechanics. The Dust Tactics product range is going to be hard to beat.

There is also apparently an Alien faction on route as well as Soviets.

So they aren't sci-fi ww1 German dwarves, they're just wrong. Great. Honestly, in this day and age, poorly proportioned figs just don't fly any more. If your sculptor makes this, get a new sculptor. Keep using the guy that did the British. Those are sweet-looking.

Anything about these sculpts is wrong, not only the totally random looking proportions. Just look at the hands, the flow of the cloth, the poses. Would be okay for the first sculpt of a 15 year old, but not using professional standards. Sorry.

The difference is that GW exaggerates their proportions intentionally, and consistently. If you look at their British troopers, they look good, which makes these look even worse.

How much in US? anyone have them, yet?

I want about 10-50 of them if the price is right.

Those "Brits" look like some guys that need to be in "Wizards" from Bakshi. Good looking guys, a little wacky looking, but not at all that bad.
