Don't know that there's all that much more to say. The chains are sculpted from green stuff.

The vindicator is one thing that really screams "Iron Warriors" to me and you nailed it. Looks great, and good job sculpting the chains. Really looks different!

dang.

that's one of the nicest iron warrior vehicles I've ever seen. I've never much liked the all-silver look of their tanks, but your use of black as a spot colour breaks it up nicely and it really benefits from having a higher ratio of gold to silver than most.

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn.

To be fair, I've sculpted a number of whole minis, and I do a lot of extensive conversion with green stuff. So a little bit of chain isn't that big a deal to me.

To sculpt a chain like this one, the easiest method I've found is done in two stages. First roll your green/grey stuff into a thin strip, then lay it onto the mini where you want the chains. With a poking tool, put holes into the stip at regular intervals, then go back and turn those holes into rings by pushing the sides of the green stuff in between your holes with a bladed sculpting tool. This will give you a set of rings that aren't tied together (they look a little bit like a child's drawing of a chain).

When that's dry, take another strip of stuff and roll it thinner than the first. Lay it directly over the holes that you've created- it should be a thin strip of stuff covering all of your holes. Then take your knife and push in the spots right over the holes that you made in step one. You may need to clean up a few edges, to make everything look perfect, but that's your chain.
