Well with what I've seen in pictures no one seems to use the same shade of silver/grey. I had checked to see if there was a specific shade. All it said was silver and red. So I was curious as to what paint I should get as well as washes. I'm still fairly new at this so that's why I'm asking.

It depends on how you want them to look. Mithril Silver and a black wash will do for tabletop standard because Doom Eagles are super bright I believe. I would use P3 Khador Red paints for the red but that's my preference

Agreed with the mithril silver and black wash comment. If you want them less shiny you could go with chainmail or boltgun metal if you want them kinda dark. For the red a Red Gore should do the trick.

For Doom Eagles I would use this sceme
For non-metallic
Prime: Black
Basecoat- Adeptis Battle Grey
Layer- Codex Grey
Highlight- Fortress Grey
Fine Highlight- Skull White
For metallic
Prime: Black
Basecoat: Adeptis Battle Grey
Layer: Chainmail
Light wash <----water the wash down Black
Highlight: Mithril

Chainmail with a Badab Black wash and Mithril highlights. Guns can be Boltgun Metal to differentiate them a little, while gun casings can be Red Gore.

For basing metallic colours it would be a good idea to use a gloss black too, it'll help the metallics above pop

Never use gloss paint for anything ever. Paint won't stick to it, and if you manage to get paint to actually stick on, it'll cover up the gloss anyway. You'll also have a hell of a time stripping it if you don't like the gloss finish. Never, ever, for the love of god use gloss paint.
PS: Don't use gloss paint.
