It's great painting and skill to do that however your only problem is that the colours just don't work well like that.

Mainly talking about the patching.

I'd just got a bit tired of doing so much "Grimdark", so I went for something brighter to lighten up my display shelf.

From a technical POV: Good job on those small pixels, kudos.

However, what you have done simply doesn't look good imho: The mini lacks depth, the colours appear out of place.

The painting is superb but digital cam pixels are a lot smaller in scale.

Some of the model really shows that youre a Painter to be reckoned with, (like the lense on his Hot-shot Las rifle) but your choice in colors kinda wrecks it.

You should allways go with darker versions of the same colour when doing digital camo

but it is very impressive, I could not paint those small squares

Interesting color choices. I assume that is camo to blend in with a pair of "Jams" shorts from the 80s. The color choices would be better suited on a harlequin I think. Neat idea though.

The white is way too thick and orange and green..? If you are going for digital do an existing pattern, say MARPAT or CADPAT, or venture outside the realm of digital into flecktarn. But seriously, it looks like a techno clown puked on it.

I dont know if he gives it a good washing with some devlian mud the colors will look much darker and more like camo. Worked Wonders for me when i was painting my guard.

Yes, but if you did digital camo to scale, it wouldn't read as digital camo and would just read as typical camo blobs.

OP, you did a good job, but the color choice is whack. I would also personally paint the aquilas in a different color, just to provide some variation.

Flow improver might help the chalkie look of the white as well.

The white was just GW white spray, is it possible to use flow improver on spray paints?

I think if you made the light grey Graveyard earth it would work alot better.
