So am I slow or is the splinter pistol the only weapon this can ever effect?

I dont see any other " poison weapon" that a Archon can take that isn't already 2+ wounds?

Yup just the splinter pistol and her shots. Basically its a stinger pistol that has its own model and stat lines. Dumb that you have to take one but unless they errata it then we have to use 'em.

Thats just not right...I mean oww. She would be really OP if agonisers were poisoned weapons that didn't allow armor saves.

Except when you get furious charge you can reroll to wound MEQs on the charge and GEQ without. Granted you will wound most if not all the time but for those occasional ones. Also the agoniser is swung at initiative. PF don't wound some MC on 2s sometimes it requires a 3 or 4 or even more. This would still wound on a 2+.

Not at all

Init7 / 8 (with FC) wounding on 2s with a reroll against GEQ / MEQ (with FC) and you still get the 2CCW bonus.

Nope, nothing like a powerfist. Welll, they both ignore armour, but apart from that not even close.

Doesn't she increase the posion for the court members as well? I can't remember, never considered taking the Court because it's too expensive.

I don't think it is an oversight at all.

Here's the thing: if she didn't have that text about improving the Archon's weapons, and she was the only one to wound on 2+, we'd be looking at a pistol + 3 attacks on the charge that hit on 4's or better and wound everything on 2's. For 10 points. That's a ridiculous bargain. My Courts (when I use them) always have 2 Lhamaeans.

The only reason she is being criticized is because her ability for the Archon isn't superpowerful. But what do you expect for 10 points?

No just her and her Archon. They aren't that expensive they just take away from other better options.

I have use a court three times with the new book the first time I tried to make them shooty and they died. The next I tried to make them CC oriented and they died. The third time I just let each guy do what comes naturally and although they did die they were much more effective. Honsetly for her cost she isn't bad and I ran two of 'em. I don't think 10pts is alot granted a wych may be considered better for the price, but she is basically an extra attack making model that boosts some stats. If she did make an agoniser 2+ she would cost alot more.

The court doesnt use a FoC slot but it of course uses points, precious points...

If you consider the Lahmian basically has a stinger pistol and a venom blade, and both of those are equal to her actual cost shes quite the bargain.

In an earlier version of the codex that did not make the final cut the archon had access to the flesh gauntlet, which is a nasty poisoned weapon. and would have been nice if it was 2+ to wound and caused ID

but that did not make it.... so she just gives the archon a free stinger pistol upgrade. pew pew!

If Vect brought a court with a Lahmian, wouldn't he wound on 2+ instead of 3+ from his scepter?

His scepter is not a poisoned weapon.

Good points, lots of you. I had kind of come to conclusion that maybe he had access to some of the other weapons and lost them. I agree that for 10 points she is inexpensive, I think that she is just boring the way it is, and that they should have made it a more useable and nasty option, and then charge more for her. Thanks for the answer t the original question.

Damn... that sucks...

Codex states that it's a "sophisticated pain-inducer" weapon. If that's not a poison weapon... I don't know what it is...

(it doesn't have "poison" in weapon profile)

A shock-prod is an unsophisticated pain inducer, and its a poisoned weapon in the ork dex
