Just a reminder to all of you out there that want to support this effort, Its September and the date for your ebay charity auction is fast approaching, we would still like to hear from anyone who is going to support this effort with an auction listing of their own.
Some of the items I am donating to auctions so far are:
One of my painted Ultramarines Dreadnoughts.
The
AOBR Warboss I recently painted.
A box of Chaos Space Marines built, based and under coated in Chaos Black.
Im still working on some other items to list, but my lad Lewes is going to donate a brand new box of Necron Warriors, and Lucy my daughter wants to donate something too, she is looking through her Tyranids for something she can paint up and sell as well.
The charity we are going to support is Help for Heroes over here in the
UK, we will be donating 100% of the sale price to the charity, here is a little bit of information about this charity:

"It’s about the 'blokes', our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."
Since 2007 Help for Heroes have worked to raise money for heroes wounded in conflict. This year Help for Heroes is aiming to raise £20 million for a network of 7 Recovery Centres where those injured can start new lives retraining for new jobs in the forces or civilian life. Show them your support by buying and selling on eBay.
Location: Ordnance Road, Tidworth, Hampshire SP9 7
As an ex-serviceman of 10 years service, I have served in recent conflict areas, I have seen first hand the effects of a war on service men and women, and how dramatically these experiences can change an individuals life, Ive done my small bit for our nation during my time of service, and now the ever increasing number of wounded service personnel now need critical support, so now I doing my small bit for them.
We hope you will all be able to support a charity that is close to your own hearts, and auction something during this event, remember it doesn't even have to be a gaming item it can be anything, there must be something that you have laying around un-used or not wanted any more that could raise a few pounds/dollars for a deserving charity.
If you want to donate an item, but dont have an ebay selling account, then please get in touch, I am willing to list your items for you, and manage the auction and payments to your desired charity, all you will have to do is post your item off to the winning bidder. We will provide you with all the details you need to monitor your auction, the address to which you have to send the item, you can specify an auction starting price, or even a buy it now price, and decide if you wish to post only in the
UK or world wide and which method of posting you would like to use etc, I will do the rest for you.
So please get in touch let us know what you are doing so we can co-ordinate the information gathering at the end of your auctions, and total up what we as gamers have raised for charities in a single day.
Finally remember that if you are doing an auction the auction item title must include the word
GOM, everyone will then be able to search for your items and even be able to bid and win an item at the same time as supporting a charity close to your own hearts.
