So i went out and bought a venerable drednaught only to find out that blood angels only use furioso. What do I do to salvage the $40 spent for this awesome mini, so it does not become useless. What are my options to fix my dilemma??? Please let me know what could be done.

Sell it on Ebay and use the money to buy a Furioso.

If it's still sealed GW will probably swap it for you.

Yeah, if you haven't actually opened it yet, take it back to wherever you bought it and ask if you can swap it.

Otherwise, call it a lesson learned and either sell it for whatever you can get, or keep it and start Blood Angels...

Or convert one of the close combat weapons into a Chainsfist and use it as an Ironclad.

Edit: Never mind, misread the OP.

Go online and buy the bits for the Furioso Arms. See if you can get Blood Talons along with the meltagun and Stormbolter.

Use it as furioso. Furioso dreads also have Dreadnought CC weapons (bloodfists)

They have two - the Ven-dread box only has one.

Convert one of the ven-dread weapon arms into a frag-cannon?

Converting a right arm into a Blood fist/talon would be your best option, buying a FW one is second best.

Turn to page 94 The Dreadnought is the first thing you see on that page. It is a heavy support. I believe you can use a venerable dreadnought as just a dreadnought. If you didnt open it you can trade it for the other at the store for a reguar dreadnought.
