This is my first Space Marine ever. I'm a lot happier with him than with the Tau I've been painting. I think it's the model - it has more contours, more awesome little fiddly bits that the judicious use of a little color can cause to pop and shine.

Anyway, what I want to know is, what do you think? What should I do to continue to up my game?

Needs to spend a loving embrace with some washes, mainly Devlan Mud.

Rats have red eyes, humans tend to have white eyes with colored iris'. just throwing that out there. You need to either use more than one color on each area or use washes to give the impression of depth. Skulls arent actually white, bleached bone would probably be a better color.
It's a great first go at SMs.
