Hey Dakka Dakka just wanted to let you guys and gals know that their has been a change in Warmonger Gameday (www.warmongergameday.com). Warmonger was a news site and to be honest there was a lot of sites out their that were better at that than Warmonger. So Warmonger decided to do something diffrent, we decided to become a social site. This will allow all the hobbiest out there to join and share their projects and videos (via YouTude, or any video site) among others who enjoy the same thing. Warmonger will still be doing painting videos and reviews when we can but now you will also be able to share your ideas and learn new methods as well. So please stop by and let us know what you think. We have a lot planed for the site and their will be more updates soon.

It's a social networking site, but the name "Warmonger GAMEDAY" makes it sound like an event or a convention.

The Gamwday part is ment to represent the fact that you going to play a game on a certian day as in your "gameday". Thats why the site is called Warmonger Gameday. Just something diffrent.

Yeah there is already a wargaming social website here, its called dakka dakka...

Just my two cents...

Dakkadakka feels more like a forum than a Facebook. While all the input here is amazing (except general discussion. . . Dunno what happened there. . .) Dakka is more about the showcase rather than the actual hobbiest(sp? I am a horrid speller)

To be honest dakkadakka is more 40k heavy than anything else. 90% of the projects put up are on 40k more than anything else and it really is something that is likely not to change unless GW dies in a fiery ball of doom.

Looks good but after joining I found I can't actually post anything using my mobile (its what I use for nearly all my internet browsing...).

Although I am nowhere near the being the target audience (Dakkadakka is the closest to a social networking website I frequent). I really really dislike the name, feels like the gameday part was added because the url warmonger.com wasn't available (I don't care if it is) that is a horrible name.

Agreed, don't like the name.

Also, I joined up to some other wargaming social site a while ago and it didn't gain much ground despite being a really good site.

Question...is the name a huge deturrent to joing a site? Their was a reason for greating the site name...in fact it was a huge reason.

You are correct the url Warmonger.com was not available but the gameday part was added to show that most wargamers have a day that they go and play their wargames. Thus the "Gameday" part was added. The Idea was that on the gameday you would be a Warmonger. I know not every one will like the site and I thank you for giveing your input, that shows that you really do care about your gaming community and I like that.

For the name I tryed to say away from any specfic games...such as 40k or Infinity...I wanted to be generic and cater to all games. I may or may not have done a great job at that but the site has been launched and I feel that I need to stick with it. I would love to have you check the site and give me feedback on how to make it better. Im not try to out do any one just trying to make a site that wargamers can go to and share their projects and their love for their games.

Thank you for checking...I will look into the mobile login...do you mean that you can not see the site on your mobile or not login?

I can login and see the site fine, I can do a post title but I can't write the actual post itself. The box for writing the post seems to be the problem.
