Hi, I use adblock to remove the Exalt button from threads as it's not a feature I would like to consider using at this time, and would prefer that it not be visible to be accidentally clicked upon. Problem is, it shares the same URL and filename as other UI elements. Still unsure of how exactly that's getting pulled off, but that's neither here nor there.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/s/i/i.gif is the URL for the exalt button, the "jump to last post" button, the report thread button, and a few others.

I'm sure I'm a minority here, but it would be great if that could get changed, or there be an option to disable exalting.

Thoughts?

Actually, it appears that: http://www.dakkadakka.com/s/i/i.gif is a 1x1pixel image, most likely part of the table that covers the buttons.

so you've got to keep hunting for what the real image is.

It is impossible to block with adblock, you would have to use greasemonkey. The image is part of a sprite, so blocking that would block every button and icon on the site. I wont be splitting it as it would make maintenance annoying and would greatly increase bandwidth requirements and loading times on mobile devices.

Fair enough, I'll slap together a greasemonkey script.

Thanks for the response lego.
