Okay, so with the WD codex out to 'mixed' reviews (Its my opinion that without releasing any new models the designers hands were tied from the beginning) I think its time we can look to the future. If we were going to make a new codex, units would get tweaked (Celestines, I'm looking at you) but they would also get new units.

I don't want this to be a wish-listing post, I suppose its fine if it becomes one but I'm mostly looking for what new units and/or unit tweaks do you think we'd get in the new codex.

I was thinking of the Sisters of Silence. The fluff on them is sparse in the ways of if they are still an active military force but they are in the universe.

I was also thinking of more church based units along with Arbites - cos we all need more Judge dread in our lives.

What do you all think?

I will always hope for cultists and Arbites, but I'm not banking on either. I don't see them bringing back Inquisitorial Stormtroopers, as removing them from the current codex seems to be a deliberate decision.

I would love love love there to be Frateris Militia or any sort of warbands of wacked out crazy cultists, especially if they were troops. The potential for old cultist-centric armies (LatD, Genestealer Cults) to have something good to counts-as is there. I'll try not to get too wishlisty though.

I could see them adding a veteran Seraphim unit to the codex, much in the same way Dark Eldar Warriors can also be Trueborn. It would mean they could sell more of the same plastic model kit when it comes out. I could see some kind of new aircraft as well, just because that's becoming the norm.

If we were to break this down in the standard GW release system of 3 plastic kits and 3 metal/Finecast kits:
- Plastic aircraft
- Plastic Sisters
- Plastic Seraphim
Alternately, a plastic Sisters/Seraphim box much like the GK boxes with a plastic Exorcist/other option kit for kit #3.

We could expect the 3 Finecast dealies to be special characters or recastings of older special characters who are still in metal.

I'm not familiar with the Frateris militia, what are they? I'm pretty sure that we'd get Arbites.

Those old beta scans we've seen seem to suggest that Arbites are still in GW's mind anyway
