If the Emperor is a "normal" human psyker simply in god mode how do the GK have "The Emperor's Gift" which I'm assuming equates into his own personal gene-seed. Does this mean the Emp evolved with a second heart, and all the other fantastic abilities with which we've grown to know and love?

I'm assuming he made a few adjustments...
Though the second heart and all that are implants.

When he commanded Malcador to go and build this new chapter he was leaving to go combat Horus, so when would he have had time to create this new stock of gene-seed?

Maybe he had some back-up stuff?
I dunno, he's the Emperor. If he wanted some gene-seed i'm sure he could have found some from somewhere... or someone O_o

What it means is that they are based on his Immortal DNA.

He used his DNA, and all the good stuff it had, to create the Geneseed(most astartes organs are simply better human ones so it was simple to design better human hearts/stuff from his own DNA)



Its basically the same way he created the Primarchs, except the Emperor skipped the whole Primarch step and went straight to Astartes.


what the original plan for what was to become the GK geneseed is anyones guess. perhaps it was intended to be a replacement for the Custodes, a personal bodyguard force of Psychic Astartes to aid in the conquering of the Webway.
