So i was wondering what does basing mean in regard to tournaments decorative bases or just standing on a base.

I think you might need to elaborate a little on just what it is you're asking...

Depends on the tournament, but most require a base, naturally, and usually at a minimum sand/texture and drybrush.

Things like flock, static grass, skulls optional. Using resin bases that are painted/highlighted usually makes the above unnecessary.

Tournaments with painting scores sometimes award higher points for nicer/custom/flocked/static grassed bases.

Allright to elaborate the tournament uses adepticion painting system and I was wondering for such tournaments do you need based models other than standing on a base

If it says the bases must be painted and textured, then they must be painted and textured.
