I have been a comic collector for over 30 years... and have ammassed about 25,000 comics(to my wifes dismay!), but i havent picked up any 40K comics... Which is weird seeing as that i love warhammer with a passion.... My question is...has any body picked any of the 40k comics up? and are they any good? Worth picking some up?

I read through bits of the black templars comic. dont know which one, all I remember was a dreadnought equipped with mega plot armour 5000 due to taking 6 direct hits from a broadside's railguns, with only a few scratches to show.

I stumbed across some on the Black Library Website that were free downloads before they changed the site for the millionth time.

If you are looking for Web Comics though, there are plenty. TSOALR is the only one I really followed, before it was ended. The Website is still up if you want to give it a read, he has well over 600 40k based Comic strips on there that are pretty funny.

I've started reading Daemonifuge. The art is awesome, but the main character, despite being a Sister with a weird thing going with a certain goddess with a strange deal with the Dark Eldar, is really not growing too much on me.

Don't forget Deff Squwdron, which may hands down be the best comic I've ever read.

Really? That name sounds delightfully orky! Mind telling me a bit about it? I think I want to read it!

You can read it here and it is indeed delightfully Orky, and damned hilarious.

If you're looking for a fairly decent guard story then Fire and Honor by BOOM studio's is a pretty damn good one, and no dreads or tanks taking using plot device 5000 armour to deflect broadside shots.

I read Deff Skwadron at work yesterday and I can verify that it is pretty much the best thing ever. I have Damnation Crusade, which is Boom! Comics' 40k collection. Some stories are better than others, but the art is impressive.

It's not the greatest thng ever but I've read this comic calle EATATAU! (yes, the name's in caps and wiht the eclamation sign). Google it and you can find it quite easily. Though, according to the author, it's nor based on 40k. It's a comic that circles around some alien race called Ttau and the Kroott. He also haves space elves, space drow, genenhanced supersoldiers and an Empire. She says he thinks of making a race of Terminator-like robot warriors powered by a green psichic-like energy. She's thinking on calling them Psycrons. It doesn't starts with too much seriousness, but gets quite awesome by the time they meet the space elves and drow.

I liked BOOM! studios stuff
they did comics for both Fantasy and 40k
Warhammer Monthly was also enjoyable
