Nice conversion of a Russian KV tank. Big turret is perfect for IG.

Very nice conversion. Besides the gun, what other things did you change from the KV2? (I assume you used a KV2 kit)

Here is thread to get the KV-2 model I used, its well priced. All other parts are a mix of Leman Russ bits and various other bits I had laying around.

That thing looks crazy like the Soviet WWII-era KV-2:

I included the Games workshop Epic scale link for the Ragnarok, It looks to me to be a Soviet WWII KV-2. So it was not a difficult matter to make one using a KV-2 Model as a base and a few spare bits. My son crafted me one a while ago with a plasma cannon. I decided I would create one with a Vanquisher Cannon, and soon I will Make one with a Battle Cannon. Overall I am pleased with the results. Oh here is the link to the GW site for the Ragnarok.

I have thought a lot about using either the bradley, or perhaps BMP-1 or 2 for a Chimera, but being krieg I have been looking for things to use for a Centaur conversion.

The Dust Tactics Germans work well for Krieg. I have regular Krieg Grenadiers but the Dust Tactics ones seem better models to me.

Nice job. The Large-Turret KV2, with it's odd proportions really fits well into the 40k universe. The only sore spot to me is the hull mounted machine gun. It's slight dimensions clearly mark it as a holdover from the kit's WW2 roots and detract from the 40k-ness of the tank.

I would recommend switching it out for a nice bulky 40k heavy weapon like the one one on your other KV2 Russ.

I understand your point, but I use Forgeworld for the majority of my army and the dimensions of various weapons from Forgeworld are more in line with the .50cal I used. My Plasma Ragnarok we just used a heavy bolter we had laying around, but the .50 cal makes a nice heavy stubber.

I think we crossed wires. The pintle mounted MG on top the turret looks great as a Heavy Stubber.

I was referrning to the hull mounted machine gun which on the Plasma tank appears to be replaced with a Heavy Flamer. If DKoK can have hull mounted heavy stubbers than it's fine, otherwise, it'd be a major improvement if replaced with a Heavy Bolter or Heavy Heavy Flamer.
