Does this mean that the cost of the virtue is included in the point limit listed, or is it in not included?

I'm pretty sure they are seperate. Otherwise that's ganna stink, especially with the palidin.

I took it too mean that you could only have a combined point allotment on virtues and items up to 50 or 100 depending on the character.

So, you can take one virtue and some items up to the indicated total point level.

Well that's how I always played it.

Also on a side note, if you have the lone wolf army builder they agree with me.

Well, the people on roundtable-bretonnia tell me it is a part of the 100 points, but I'm not sure where they're getting their info, but if you have a gander over there I'm sure you could get answers.

Seems like the prevailing opinion is that the virtues cost is included with the magic item total with respect to the limit.

If anyone else wants to throw in support for this please do, or if you disagree speak up.

Assuming it is an exact quote, the lack of any commas indicates the latter portion, about magic points limits, applies to both parts of the sentence

Its a exact quote. Yes, its both virtue and magic items in that point cost. If you look at a army where it is seperate, ie Lizardman and VC, it is written as a seperate entry..
