You may have heard of the saying ‘You can’t keep a good man down’ right? Well, it goes for games too.

Recently it was announced that Furidion Games had closed their doors and their generic skirmish game, Unbridled Fury, would no longer be available. Having tried the game out in the past, we felt this would truly be a loss to the industry.

Having been developed over the last 6 years by Damian Brymora, Unbridled Fury brings some interesting and unique features to your gaming table.

Using a rather swanky ‘Active/Reactive’ activation sequence, players are not left sitting around waiting for their turn. But it takes it one step further. Just because you’re the active player doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep your head down. You’ve been warned.

Ever wanted to build your own army list? Now you can. The Unbridled Fury Toolbox allows players to create lists of just about any troop type from just about any period/genre they wish. From armies of lightly armoured Celtic warriors with werewolves and Pagan leaders all the way to legions of power armoured space warriors with laser rifles and missile launchers.

The options are truly endless and mind-blowing. The only problem is, which list do you do first?!?!

So, with all this in mind, we decided that Unbridled Fury deserved to live on.

Having contacted Damian to present our offer, Tor Gaming are over the moon to announce Unbridled Fury will not be disappearing.

From today, we will be working closely with Damian to ensure Unbridled Fury gets the attention it deserves.

Tor Gaming will be taking charge of the promotion and distribution of the core Unbridled Fury rules. Soon, you will be able to download them from our site for FREE!!!! Moreover, just for those of you out there that like to have a proper book to read whilst on the toilet, we will be offering the rules a via a Print on Demand service soon.

Damian will remain in control of the rules development for the core rules as well as managing new, pre-built lists and community submitted content. All of which will be available for download FREE from our website.

Tor Gaming will also be producing stand-alone games using the key mechanics from Unbridled Fury, which will be supported by figure lines. You can expect to see the first of these very soon to be set in Relicia. Not surprisingly, the game has the working title “Relics – Unbridled Fury”

We are very excited to have the opportunity to be working with Damian on this arrangement and to give Unbridled Fury the airtime it deserves.

So, keep an ear to the ground, soon Unbridled Fury will be available for you to get you grubby mitts on!! In the mean time, get over to our forum and let us know what universe you will be creating!"

I like generic rulests and Skirmish games so this sounds like a good thing. I'll definitely be looking to download it.

A couple of questions.

1) How complex a rulesystem is it? Song of Blades, 5150, Warhammer, Stargrunt?

2) Will the unit builder be included in the free release?

3) Will sample armies be included?

Hey Eilif,

We think you will like these!!

You questions:

1) I would say it's not complex, but it not simple either. The fact you can build a profile to do almost anything you want means there is is plenty of scope to make it as easy or complex as you want.

2) The core rules include the unit builder rules.

3) Right now, no. But we will be uploading some resources shortly. It's a case of having to go through what there is already done and making sure is it still suitable and fit for use.

And I am sure you will be pleased to hear the Unbridled Fury core rules are now online and active!!!

You can download them here

Get them downloaded and get them read!!!

Pop over to our forum (www.torgaming.co.uk/forum) and sign up, we want to see your created lists very soon.

It appears we forgot to upload the blank roster sheet PDF that would be useful when building profiles......

This has now been remedied and is on the same link above

Never even knew it was alive. Neverheard of it. Might take a moment to download it and look it over. If I remember during a moment of having nothing better to do.

Today we see the first of the Unbridled Fury existing Company Lists released. Titled the ‘Work Hard, Fight Hard’ bunch, the first releases are:

Grimmhammers: Your classic beard-wearing hammer wielding Dwarfs, these boys love to have a punch up.

Dwarf Clans of the Highlands: Another dwarf list, these boys don’t go much for the mines and caverns, preferring the mountain highlands and clear air. They still like to crack the odd Goblins head or two.

Blood Berserkers: A bunch of your classic tribal fanatic types, they like nothing better than to bath in the blood of someone they don’t like, which is just about everyone outside their tribes. Not someone to take home to meet the parents!!

You can find them on the Unbridled Fury Company Lists page on the main Tor Gaming site.

There will be more coming from the existing lists over the coming week. Plus some newly created one too that just may allow you to make use of some of the existing models in your collections without any thought.

Today we see the second bunch of the Unbridled Fury existing Company Lists released. This time they come with a Sci-Fi flavour and we're calling this little bunch the 'Rebellion and Response'.... just because.

Maximum Squad: Maximum Squad exists to finish the jobs that other units cannot complete. When no other option is available, call the professionals…

Renegade Militia: Every repressive government can earn itself a rebellion: when people are held under the boot of repression it tends to bring out a desire for freedom.

Covert Ops: Unique situations require unique responses. Not all tactical problems are solved by brute force. When the going gets exceptionally tough, you need troops that are tougher!

You can fnd them on the Sci-Fi section of the Unbridled Fury Companies List page
