Ok, so in my Ork codex, in the Army List section, the Warbikers (normal, not Nobz) are listed as having 2 Wounds. However, in the Bestiary section, they have 1 Wound. Which is correct? Am I incorrect in saying that the army list area is the most "official" one? Also, does anyone elses codex have this?

Check the Ork FAQ. This more than specific advice given in this very situation. It is a general advice that should always be followed. EDIT. Damnit! I would swear this was addressed in the FAQ. Time log log off, I guess.

^ In other words, yes. They have two wounds, and the army list entry always takes priority.

It's incorrect. The normal Warbikers, the boyz NOT the nob upgrade that is, should only have one wound.

Right not in the FAQ. There's something changing the Nob profile...to exactly what it already is.

But the army list section is the one you use; the other is simply for reference, no? I believe I am correct in saying that, whether intended or not, they have 2 wounds by RAW.

But for 25 points, you get an Ork with 2 wounds, a 4+ cover save, a 4+ armor save, can move 18", T5, and a TL S5 gun with 3 shots...and scoring with Wazdakka. Doesn't that seem good to anyone but me?

Remember, they are still BS2, and strength 3.

Well, no. I have the Warhammer 40k Ork Codex, which states in all entries for Warbikers that they have one wound. Not only the bestiary, but the army list as well. I have also flicked through other Ork Codexes at the GW store for clarification on the rules, and they also say that Warbikers have one wound. Ergo, there must be an error.
You could take two warbosses though, and they have that special ability that allows you to take nobs as troops. And the Nobs can take bikes....

There are two printings of the english ork codex, the FAQ only fixes errors of the second one.
Ork Warbikers have one wound, slugga and choppa.
Ork Biker Nobz(in whatever unit) have two wounds, slugga and choppa(unless traded away).
Any ork model on a warbike has +1T, 4+ armor, 4+ cover and a twin-linked dakka gun in addition to any other wargear.
All of this has been misprinted across multiple versions of the codex, and even suffers different misprints across languages.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |
