The rules say nothing about which tanks can tank shock. I was under the impression that only "tanks" could tank shock. But I was reading the GW FAQ and it talks about skimmers tank shocking? So can ANY vehicle tank shock? Thanks

Some skimmers can have type tank as well, such as Tau or Eldar vehicles, or DE skimmers with the Shock Prow update.

Tanks and skimmers are not mutually exclusive. Some vehicles can be both - as willydstyle pointed out, Tau and Eldar tanks are both skimmers and tanks, and can thus tank shock. Land Speeders, on the other hand, are only Skimmers, and can't.

Just to be more thorough, Tau Piranhas are not tanks, but are skimmers, similar to Eldar Vypers. You have to look in the codex to see if it is both a tank and a skimmer.

Theoretically you could even have an open top, walker, skimmer, tank, transport (may be even fast though they would need to explain how movement would work).

The combo in bold may cause a few copyright issues....but either could work with fast.

You don't just have to be listed as "Tank" to Tank Shock. Ork Trukks can tank shock if they get the Ram upgrade (Also gives them +2 AV vs Death or Glory) I have no idea about other races but I'd guess that some of the non-tank stuff could be given rams as well/what ever they call rams

Just Trukks and Raiders/Ravagers.

Only tanks can perform a tank shock. If a vehicle upgrade explicitly breaks this rule, then specific beat general and the vehicle may tank shock without being a tank.
