I've been trying to decide what models to take for my starter Infinity army. I am not incredibly familiar with the system tho. I was thinking of just grabbing the Shock Army of Acontecimento pack, with a Cutter and Jean'd Arc 2.0 for support, mostly cause I like the models.

Would this work? From what I gather from the forums small armies are starved for "orders", so maybe this is a bit too small? I could probably add another regular by replacing the Cutter for an Armored Calvary.

Can anyone help me out here? Is this army viable, and how would it play out?

Well, not the best army list for 300 pts but it is playable.
It is more important to play games and learn how to move your units than havin the best troops.
Have fun, learn from your own mistakes and then achieve perfection.

First off, welcome to Infinity

I can't stress enough to start small at about 150pts till you get the basics down, then move up to 300pts. There is a very steep learning curve to the games so if you jump in knee deep at 300pts, you're just going to get kicked in the junk and walk away with a bad experience. I know a lot of people like trial by fire, but in this game you really have to get the basics down first before you try to play at higher points.

On the list, that only comes up to 241pts unless you takes some unneeded upgrades. It's also only 6 models (1 AD, 1 TO), so VERY low on orders. I'm not terribly good at Pan'O lists but trying to fit the Cutter and Joan 2 in the list is going to force you to take a lot of cheerleaders to makeup orders.

On Bobba's list swap that Medic for the Machinist. You'll need to keep that Cutter up or all hope wil be lost. I'd also swap Joan LT for Cutter LT. Same points and stays within SWC, but it give the cutter an extra order to work with.

Well you only have an AVA of 2 on the regulars with Vanilla Pan'O so you'd have to look into some other models that may appeal to you. I know first hand that the Cutter is a nightmare to take down, so for your 300 you may want to consider taking Joan out. At 150 the starter box should serve you right though I don't know the points total offhand.

At 300 points, you want at minimum 8 regular orders, and even that's stretching it.
