For Black Templars, I love the Sword Brethren models and i love the back round and everything about them as apposed to the terminators, but as a unit, are the non terminator armored Sword Brethren useful in anyways? Should i run 5 and a character in a razorback? All suggestions welcome.

People usually say they aren't worth it, but I've found they work excellent as a counter-assault unit for my gunline. Give them furious charge, a power weapon and a dude with lightning claws and have them hang back in a lazorback. When someone charges your terminator/lasplas/whatever shooty unit you jump out and go to town. They're very good at killing MEQ units, so stuff like BA assault marines, Khorne berzerkers etc. will probably take quite a beating. I run my 5 Brethren with the Emperor's Champion, partly because it gives them extra oomph and partly because I don't have anywhere else to put him that makes sense.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.
