Hello ladies,

I've been a huge lurker for a while. Mostly because I browse the site at work when ever I get 5 minutes to myself. I've been thinking for a while that I would paint up something a special for my first post on dakka. I wanted to challenge myself a little bit so I decided to incorporate lots of things I've never tried before into one model and see how it turned out.

This is my first time painting yellow, my first EVER time using greenstuff and my first major conversion. 5 points to the man who can tell me what the model started off life as!!

Brilliant model, but all I could think of was that he has enough dakka to put an Ork to shame!

Brilliant model, but I bet you're going to get a lot of people offended by the word on his right arm if you use him in games. Otherwise good model, well outstanding!

spot on, had a spare space wolf termy just lying around after building a friends army. I cut out the wolfs pelt, went over the various wolf symbols, hacked up and green stuffed the assault cannon to a power fist, mashed up a missile launcher/stormbolter/chain fist, green stuffed the red robe and a few other minor details and then got to work painting the bugger.

Sorry about the swear words all over him, but he's an angry marine... consider them litanies of detestation! Besides, he's not for gaming purposes, just a lil project to introduce myself to the forums. Children, avert your eyes, Frag is a bad man.

That word on his right arm actually made me lol. It's just so blatant and offensive it makes me laugh. I really like the conversion BTW, I think it really captures the essence of the angry marines.

At first, I didn't get the FU on the kneepad, then, as it slowly dawned on me quite how angry he was I saw the right arm. I now have juice all over my lap from laughing. Awesome. And welcome to Dakka!

I like the modeling and converting skill involved in creating a model like that. Colors look great, it's a cool conversion, but you are right, it is offensive.

I will never understand why there is a need for that, as my local gaming store won't let you play things like that, so for me it's a waste of a well painted and exceptional conversion.

Great model. Great paint. Keep up the modeling and converting, but try anger management classes instead of anger management modeling.

lol, after painting this guy I now know why angry marines are always so ANGRY! its all that yellow armour they have to paint, just this one model was almost enough to make me piss myself with rage
