Concidering starting an Imp force. Converted and painted this sniper, so opinions?

thanks.

GW has become that guy just a bit too far into his late 30's at the club full of 20 year olds. Yeah, his stuff was hot last decade, but he refuses to accept that it's time to buy a new wardrobe. Rather than buy it, he's constantly arguing how cool his still is.

Excellent.  Reminds me of Dr Faust's Khador.
I would suggest a different brown, though; I don't like that colour on principle ? Hey, that's a reason! ? and it is too similar to the flesh tone.

It's quite the awesome model/paintjob, so mad props on that.

As far as a color-scheme goes, you couldn't have picked a worse model! I can't really comment on whether I think the color scheme is good until I can actually *see* the color-scheme in full!

That said, red armor with khaki brown seems like a pretty safe bet, and with highlights like that I'm sure your force will look very dynamic.

Will they all have cloaks and netting, or just the snipers?

The army could get a little busy if they're all wearing those things, but otherwise gj. (chorus of praise echoes)

No only the snipers will have cloaks. i was considering giving everyone cameleoline but decided against it. for two reasons: they will be mechanised, and im too lazy too put cloaks on every model.

ok here we have a standard grunt... or sergeant. i have decided to give all models cameleoline, so ignore my earlier comment about cloaks.

Well, I dig it. I also really like the stripes on the shoulder pad! I have been painstakingly trying to recreate the stripes on the forearms of all of my sargeants, but putting it on the shoulder pad would be much quicker. I also like putting a helmet on that head. I think I had to shave about half of the back of his head off to get it to fit!

The color scheme's very cool... his helmet doesn't fit so well though.

@glaive company co: i concidered having the stripes on the forearm, but i wanted something differant, and most real armies have rank badges on shoulders.

@plisken: i can assure you that it isnt noticable irl.

I like the Sergeant's chevrons on the shoulder pad....the only thing I don't like about them, is that they are humongous.  Personally, I think they would look better if they were a bit smaller, but that's just me.  I mean, they don't look bad as they are.  I just think the gigantic chevrons on the shoulder pad are kind of cheesy.

very nice mate, I like it alot.

a couple of points.

Id go for 3 layers instead of 2 on the fatigues, youve got the skill, and a better blend would be worth the ectra effort.

tone down the red highlights afraction, the extreem highlight works well, but its a bit to much at the mo, especially with the "steal" look you are going for.

@anvilss hammer: there is actually three layers on the fatigues, its just that the darkest layer didnt show up in the pics. taken your advice about the red highlight and made it very thin on other gaurdsmen.
